To pay your Water Bill click on Utility Billing on the left side of the screen. Please do NOT create an account for Utility Billing. This function is currently unavailable.

Permits & Inspections
Registration process is for general contractors and subcontractors (mechanical, plumbing, electrical and gas) licensed by the State of North Carolina to register with the Dare County Planning Department for online submission of permit applications, scheduling of inspections and reviewing inspection results. Any property owner who plans to act as their own contractor should contact the Dare County Planning Department at 252-475-5870 for additional instructions on how to complete the registration process.

IMPORTANT NOTE TO REGISTRANTS: Registration is a TWO step process. STEP 1 - Register your account by clicking on LOG IN link (top right corner). If you have one of the Community accounts (Google, Apple, Microsoft or Facebook) you may use one of those. Otherwise click on Create an account and enter an email address and complete the required information. You will get an email to verify your email address, so please verify it. This will create your account in Citizens Self Serve. STEP 2 - Complete the online access application so the planning office can link your accounts and send you a confirmation.
